About Boë Superior Gin
In the year 1658 world renowned Professor Franz de la Boë gently infused a clear grain spirit with hand picked juniper berries while painstakingly searching for a medicinal tonic. Franz de la Boë invented the worlds first GIN!
Boë Superior Gin is lovingly created in small batches under the watchful eye of the Master Distiller, where 13 rare hand picked botanicals and spices are infused in the finest neutral grain spirit, liberating the full flavours of triple filtered Boë Superior Gin, creating a high class gin, characteristically citrus with extraordinary balance and smoothness.
Boë Superior Gin is cut exactly to 47% alc vol with crystal clear water from the tranquil glens of ancient Scotland. To produce a gin with perfect flavour and lasting character, in keeping with the pioneering spirit of Franz de la Boë born 1614 to 1672. His SPIRIT lives on!
Finely balanced botanicals
The subtleties of Boë Superior Gin are all in the selection and preparation of its botanicals – that fine balance of herbs and spices so crucial to its distinctive taste and quality.
Juniper berries and their flavoursome oils are at the heart of the distillation, but it takes many more elements to make Boë special. There's the aromatic Coriander and Angelica. We include Ginger, Orris Root and Cassia Bark – or Chinese cinnamon as it's sometimes known, one of the oldest of all spices. Warmth and flavour come from the Grains of Paradise. Orange and Lemon peel are there too delivering a hint of citrus, together with Cardamom Seeds, Liquorice, Almonds and the peppery tones of the Cubeb Berry.
And the taste? Clean, spiced and strikingly refreshing
