Casa Turrent Origenes - 4 cigar Sampler

In recent years, Casa Turrent has been paying tribute to significant years in the company’s history, notably the birth years of those who have sat at the helm of the company. This year, it is time to honor places, or as the company puts it, it Orígenes.

It is doing so with a collection of four cigars, each named for a place of important in the company’s journey: Cuba, San Andrés, Nicaragua and Miami. Each is released in a 5 1/2 x 54 robusto extra vitola

Alberto and Alejandro Turrent, owners of Nueva Matacapan de Tabacos S.A de C.V are the first family of Mexico's cigar industry. The father-son team not only make some of Mexico's best cigars but are also the largest grower of cigar tobacco in the country. The San Andres Maduro leaf they grow outside of Veracruz is world renowned for its quality, and a variety of their tobaccos are important components in many of America's most popular premium cigar brands.

To keep the consistency of their flagship Casa Turrent line, Alejandro decided a large factory was not the best place to make the more complex Casa series. Alejandro took his great-grandfather's house and renovated it to make a boutique factory with 15 people to produce the Casa Turrent Series.
