The Casa Turrent 1880 Oscuro is a Mexican puro made entirely from habano seed criollo tobacco grown in the San Andrés valley!!

A great looking deep brown, slightly toothy wrapper – Complex and bold, with notes of black pepper, leather, cedar and sweet cocoa, backed up with a hint of cinnamon, roasted almonds and a citrussy twang. A nutty (Hazelnut?) slightly spicy finish.

Casa Turrent 1880 Oscuro - Single Cigar
These new additions to Casa Turrent's 1880 range are available in 4 blends/wrapper types: Claro, Colorado, Oscuro and Maduro.
The 1880 range predominantly use Mexican grown tobaccos in their blends, with some Nicaraguan tobaccos added to the filler blend for the Maduro, and some Dominican tobaccos used in the Claro.
The Colorado and Oscuro are Mexican Puros (composed of only tobaccos grown in Mexico) and showcase the variety of flavours available from Mexican grown tobacco!!
Product Brand
Alberto and Alejandro Turrent, owners of Nueva Matacapan de Tabacos S.A de C.V are the first family of Mexico's cigar industry. The father-son team not only make some of Mexico's best cigars but are also the largest grower of cigar tobacco in the country. The San Andres Maduro leaf they grow outside of Veracruz is world renowned for its quality, and a variety of their tobaccos are important components in many of America's most popular premium cigar brands.
To keep the consistency of their flagship Casa Turrent line, Alejandro decided a large factory was not the best place to make the more complex Casa series. Alejandro took his great-grandfather's house and renovated it to make a boutique factory with 15 people to produce the Casa Turrent Series.
