Tasting Notes
Another release from Tullibardine's The Murray series, Double Wood has been matured in a combination of ex bourbon and ex sherry casks!!
Distilled in 2005, first it rested in first-fill bourbon casks, before it was transferred to first-fill sherry casks for a secondary maturation. The classic combination of creamy bourbon and spiced sherry really lets this Tullibardine shine!
Nose:
maple syrup, baking spices, sweet prunes and creamy chocolate.
Palate:
Crushed coffee bean, creamy toffee, stewed peach, fresh summer berries and those tasty sherried spices.
Finish:
A gently spiced & honey rich finish, with a hint of chantilly cream.
Product Info
Tullibardine The Murray Double Wood 2005 Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 70cl, 46% vol.
Tullibardine distillery lies at the foot of the Ochil Hills of Perthshire, on the same site as Scotland's first public brewery, whose origins date back to the 12th century.
The soft, pure water from these hills was used in the brewing of the ale and today this water is one of the key ingredients in the distillation of Tullibardine single malt scotch whisky.
