CHACOM (an abbreviation of 'CHAPUIS-COMOY & CIE') The manufacture of briar pipes took off in the 19th century in the Jura and cemented the reputation of the Saint-Claude region as one of the top regions for pipe making i the world! Heir to a century-old know-how and proud of their heritage in Saint-Claude, the CHACOM team are working to modernize the image of the pipe while respecting its history. Since 2013, the Chapuis-Comoy & Cie workshops have been recognised as an 'Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant' (a Living Heritage Company), a distinction awarded by the State to reward companies with exceptional expertise.
