NEW: Ailein Mor Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 43% abv)

Our very own exclusive bottling of a single malt from the Highlands now  bottled at 43% abv.

The previous edition of this same whisky, bottled at 40%, was a Silver Medal winner in the International Spirits Challenge 2014, and winner of a Silver Award for the Highland Independent Bottler of the Year Award 2012. This new version of the same whisky comes bottled at a higher strength, aiming to bring forward even more flavour and complexity to your palate.

A slight departure from the fresh grassy scents of the Highland glens and moving into the cozy living room of a Highland home. This higher strength edition of the Ailein Mor reveals a much bolder character with a sweet and spicy twist. On the nose, it is much richer with a more distinct oak spice note along with its signature mild vegetal character still very much present. Hints of warming cloves and coffeebean, reminiscent of freshly brewed spiced coffee. On the palate, the arrival is mellow with sweet spice notes, dried fruit and a hint of vanilla. It develops with more pronounced dried fruit notes of raisins and dates along with hints of malt sugar and dark chocolate. The finish is long and sweet with a light note of orange peel.
