‘Cearban’ is Gaelic for basking shark, after the enormous shark that swims up the west coast of Scotland every autumn, passing many of Scotland’s greatest distilleries as it goes. It is from these distilleries that this whisky it takes its powerful, bold character.

This new higher strength version of the Cearban brings forth a higher intensity of flavours and a more complex whisky experience.

On the nose, we have roasted nuts and rich malt sugar rounded off by a fresh mineral note reminiscent of the west coast sea spray on a windy day.

On the palate, the arrival is mellow and slightly dry with a dash of stewed fruit richness which develops boldly into sweet dried fruit with a hint of warming liquor chocolates.

The finish is short and dry with hints of roasted hazelnuts.

This bold coastal malt welcomes you in to sit next to a warm hearth as an Atlantic storm rages outside with sea spray still clinging to your lips.
