NEW: Hoebeg Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl, 43% abv

Our very own exclusive bottling of a single malt from Islay now bottled at 43% abv.

The previous version of this same whisky botlled at 40% was a Gold Medal winner in the international Spirits Award 2013. With this new higher strength version, we aim to bring you a more flavourful and complex tasting experience.

On the nose, it introduces itself with gentle and warming peat smoke, like sitting next to a slow burning peat fire, gives way to a suggestion of barbecued meats and rounds off with a hint of seaweed still present, adding a refreshing twist.

On the palate, the arrival is still deceptively gentle at first with hints of white pepper and peat, however the development is long with an increasing complexity, it slowly reveals itself with bold notes of smoke, earthy peat, sea salt and further with a hint of sweet oak spice and salted caramel on the finish.

A complex and demanding Islay that packs more flavour than you’d think.
